Milton Marion Widener, Jr.
July 2, 1951 – March 2, 2016
Milton Marion Widener, Jr., long-time resident of Micanopy, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at his home after a yearlong battle with cancer. Milton was born in McIntosh, Florida, and was a graduate of Hawthorne High School. He proudly served his country overseas in the United States Navy in the early 1970s. He was employed with Terminix for 42 years. An avid hunter and fisherman, Milton loved the outdoors.
Milton was preceded in death by his father, Milton Widener, Sr. and mother, Doris Anne Widener. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Nellie; son, Will (Penny); grandson, Waylen; granddaughter, Hanna; sister, Judith Hogan (Jim Collins) and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held Monday, March 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., in Micanopy Historic Cemetery with Pastor Steve Matchett officiating. A reception will follow the service at First Baptist Church of Micanopy, 709 NE Cholokka Blvd.
