Mildred Lorraine Crews Crowley, age 92 of Gainesville, FL passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Palm Garden. Mildred was born in Fort Meade, FL on August 12, 1924 to Horace Crews and Edna Porter Crews and raised by step father, Earl Roberts, from an early age. Mildred was a member of Northwest Baptist Church, 5514 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville, FL. She was a seamstress for Maas Brothers, Burdines, and Rings Manufacturing.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Crowley; daughter, Katie Hull; baby boy Crowley; brothers, Milford Crews, Claude Roberts, and sister, Gloria Roberts. She is survived by daughters, Polly (Harold) Stephens, Melrose, FL, Bunny (Ronny) Courtney, Gainesville, FL; son, Joseph Crowley, Gainesville, FL; brother, Clyde Roberts, Fort Meade, FL, six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, Ellie Manac and Ryder Manac of Hahira, GA.
Graveside Services will be held Friday, February 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery East, 3700 SE Hawthorne Road, Gainesville. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd, Gainesville, FL 32606.
