Michael Steven (Big Mike) Sapper's Obituary
Michael Steven Sapper, age 63, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022 after a 3 year battle with cancer. He is a 1977 graduate of Copley High School, Copley, Ohio and from Muskingum College of Ohio. He went on to earn his Master’s degree and additional certifications from schools in Florida. He was employed by the University of Florida where he was a teaching assistant and anatomy instructor at the College of Veterinary Medicine.
He was preceded in death by father, Andrew D. Sapper. He is survived by mother, Elizabeth Sapper Jacoby, sister Mary (Jeff Cicio), brother's Frank Sapper (Debbie) and John Sapper along with 2 nieces and 5 nephews.
A Graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at 10:00am. at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery, Gainesville. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Ohio.
Donations in his memory can be made to Haven Hospice of Gainesville, Florida or "The Big Mike Scholarship" associated with the University of Florida and the College of Veterinary Medicine.
