Melinda "Cindy" Lucynthia Thomas' Obituary
Melinda “Cindy” Lucynthia Thomas, 59, passed away August 15, 2024, at home with her family by her side. Cindy was born July 4, 1965, in Gainesville, FL to Larry Austin Thomas and Linda Pauline Goad.
When Cindy was young she enjoyed water skiing and spending time with her sister, Aunt Connie and many cousins at the Creek. She was in the Color Guard at Hawthorne Jr. Sr. High School and impressed many with her skills.
Cindy was known for having a huge heart and her love for her family. She loved the time she spent with her grandson, Easton who called her GiGi.
Cindy is survived by her daughter, Erica Henderson (Ryan) of St. Petersburg, Fl; her son, Eddie Macdonald of Lakeland, FL; her parents Larry and Joyce Thomas of Cross Creek, FL; her step-father, Ron Galyen, sister, Tammy “Pooh” Thomas of Fl, and her grandson Easton Henderson of St. Petersburg.
Services for Cindy will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at New Cross Creek Baptist Church, 18921 S County Road 325 in Cross Creek with Pastor Dan Blasiole officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice of NE Florida, www.beyourhaven.org.
