Maxine Wilson Sawyer's Obituary
Maxine Wilson Sawyer, of Gainesville, Florida, went home to the Lord on February 19th, at age 83. She is survived by her children Patricia Ashton and James Michael Sawyer, and by 5 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Maxine, born in Raleigh, North Carolina, loved teaching swimming and Sunday school, and helped her husband James Bennett Sawyer begin the family electronics business, Electro-Standards Laboratories, Inc., in Miami, Florida, in the 1960's. After retirement, the couple relocated to Gainesville to be near their children and grandchildren.
