Maurice Earl Ammon's Obituary
Maurice Earl Ammon, age 70 of Newberry, Florida passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015. He was born July 31, 1944 in Dade City, Florida to Benjamin Earl and Velma Hodges Ammon, Jr.
Earl was a Florida Pioneer Descendant having over 4 generations born in the state. He moved to Newberry in 1980. He was a member of Gainesville 2nd Ward of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.
He loved Sudoku and crossword puzzles. He enjoyed watching classic TV and NCIS. He served a building mission for Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and went to Utah building chapels. He served in numerous positions in the church, including executive secretary for five Bishops in Gainesville. He was past Boy Scout leader.
He is survived by his sisters, Betty M. Langford of Newberry, Linda Shirah of Interlachen and Joanne Choate (Tom) of Dade City; nephew, Tony Kite and his children, Zachary and Austin.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Dade City. Arrangements are under the care of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street.
