Mary Belle Crocker Tompkins' Obituary
Mary Belle Crocker Tompkins, age 95 passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 in Sarasota, FL.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Lloyd Tompkins and her son, Martin Lloyd Tompkins.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Duke (Billy), eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Tompkins was born October 9, 1922 in Newberry, FL to Acie Rockwell Crocker and Clara Annie Sumner Crocker. Mrs. Tompkins and her husband lived in Archer, FL for over 60 years.
Mrs. Tompkins, a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints served in many callings in the church and worked nine years, volunteering in the Temple in Orlando, FL.
She worked 31 years at the University of Florida as a secretary and Staff Assistant.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 10600 S.W. 24th Ave. Gainesville, FL. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service, beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the Relief Society Room. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Archer, FL.
