I only met Mary for a week while I was visiting my uncle Theo ( one of her many “neighbors.” We shared a few meals and lots of stories, and my cousin and I got to tour the Studebakers. I have not forgotten her charm and think of her often. Please accept my condolences to the entire family. She ( and her husband, from what I heard of him) were very special people who definitely made the world a better place. Greatest generation indeed, but also great individuals!

Dear Phoebe, Richard and family,
I had the pleasure of first meeting Mary when her generous spirit allowed UF's School of Music students to use Dr. Cade's exceptional string instruments. The students were known as Cade Fellows and working with these instruments increased the students' skills and musicianship. I then spent time with her through the creation of the Cade Museum. Once again her special qualities prevailed for the benefit of all.

Mary was loved by many and will be missed by all.
