Mary Elizabeth Reynolds' Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Reynolds, age 76 of Gainesville passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016. She was born February 6, 1940 in Columbus, Georgia to Ollie Thomas and Madeline Elizabeth Cantrell Salmon.
Mary was a lifelong resident of Gainesville, moving here when she was a year old. She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1958. She was working at the Gainesville Sun when she met and married the love of her life, Clyde Wilson Reynolds. She left her job at the Gainesville Sun to start her job as an amazing mother and grandmother. Mary was very dedicated to her family.
She is survived by her children, John Reynolds, Larry Reynolds (Lynn), Joan Douglas (John), Laura Nemmers (John), Jeff Reynolds and Joel “Lee” Reynolds (Alexandria); sisters, Pat Malphurs and Fredrika Clare; brothers, Tom and Bob Salmon; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, of 40 years, Clyde Wilson Reynolds.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Flemington Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Vasculitis Foundation, www.vasculitisfoundation.org.
