Mary Frances Parson's Obituary
Mary Frances Parson, age 64 of Gainesville, FL and formerly of both St. Thomas USVI and St. Paul, Minnesota passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at UF Health-Shands Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born August 27, 1956 in St. Paul, Minnesota to her late parents Francis and Monica Stark. Mary is survived by her husband of nearly 36 years, Berth Parson and mother in law Ivy Parsons; her loving children, Matthew (Quinda) Parson, Mariesa (Jamie) McFarland, Michelle (Michael Edwards) Parson, Maureen Parson, Melisa (Lamar Williams) Parson, Michael Parson, and Marcus Parson; and her cherished grandchildren, Italy, Aaliyah, Ilena, Ivy'ana, Chanel, Jae Marie, Jayda, Andrew, Michael Jr., Jamie, Landon, Jazelle, Ramal, Max, Mia, and "Seven"; beloved sisters in law to Barbara, Beverly, Bernadette, and Brenda as well as dearest sister of John, Cici, Peggy, Drew, Louann, Steve, Pete, Nick and Moni.
Mary lived her faith throughout her daily life as an example of love, commitment, dedication, honesty, and so much more. She loved unconditionally with a nurturing heart as a proud mother of seven children and adored her grandchildren. Mary was a woman of strong character and provided endless guidance, love and support to those around her. She was a dedicated and compassionate nurse for over 43 years most recently serving as a nurse for UF Health-Shands for more than thirty years.
Visitation: Friday, February 5th at 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 550 NE 16th Ave., Gainesville, FL 32601.
Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, February 6th, 1:00 pm at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 550 NE 16th Ave., Gainesville, FL 32601.
Final resting place at Forest Meadows Cemetery-Central 4100 NW 39th Ave., Gainesville, FL
CDC guidelines require face coverings, with 6 feet social distancing. Seating in the church is in family groups.
