Mary Lucille Smith's Obituary
Mary Lucille Smith of Hawthorne, FL passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022, at NFRMC in Gainesville, FL. Mary was born January 26, 1936, in St. Mary’s, Missouri to Felix and Euphrasia Nifong Tucker. She was married to William E. McGuire during the first part of her life, and together they had 4 children. She was of the Christian faith, and was a long-time member of Church by The Sea at Indian Harbor Beach, FL. During the later years of her life, she was married to her beloved husband, Fred Smith. Mary found great joy in plants and beagles.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred Smith, and a son, James J. McGuire.
Mary is survived by her children Cheryl A (Cecil R) Johns, John R McGuire, and William “Bill” F McGuire and a sister, Anne Moranville. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A private service to honor her life will be held by her family. She will be interred next to her parents and sister at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Perryville, MO. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
