Mary Lou Dietrich's Obituary
Mary Lou Dietrich, 90, of Alachua, Florida, died Saturday, October 27, 2018.
She was born in South Point, Ohio on December 16, 1927 as Mary Lou Bryson. She married James Joseph Dietrich of Columbus, Ohio on August 31, 1947. James and Mary Lou moved with their two daughters to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1957 and to Gainesville in 1983.
Mary Lou is survived by her husband James; her two daughters, Rochelle “Shelly” Stone (spouse - Ward) and Susan Caddell; five grandchildren, Brian Stone, Melissa Mantilla (spouse - Juan), Julie Harding (spouse - Lee), Andrea Burcham (spouse - Randy) and Jeff Hermance (spouse - Jennifer) and fourteen great grandchildren, Luke Mantilla, Benjamin Mantilla, Naomi Harding, Jacob Harding, Sarah Burcham, Amanda Burcham, James Burcham, Kayden Hermance, Madison Hermance, Kennedi Hermance, Sophie Hermance, Baby Hermance, Matt Carr and Kailey Carr.
Mary Lou is among the kindest and most giving persons who have ever lived. She always thought of others rather than herself; she preferred giving to receiving. She always and faithfully prayed for her family’s salvation, wellbeing and protection; she was strong willed and uncompromising.
Mary Lou bestowed her love upon her family and was always eager and willing to help.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 11:00 A. M., in the Countryside Cemetery, 10926 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville, with Rev. Gene Keith, officiating.
