Mary E. Brothers' Obituary
Mary E. Brothers, age 83 of Granite City, Illinois passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. She was born September 2, 1933 in Murphysboro, Illinois to Clay and Ella M. Worthen Hartline.
Mary loved gardening and she enjoyed walking. She loved to travel and she loved her dog. She moved to Florida in 2011 to be close to her sister, Geneva.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne L. Brothers; siblings, Clay Hartline, Ralph Hartline, Frieda Handlon, and Clarence Hartline.
She is survived by her siblings, Charlie Hartline of Granite City, IL, Fred Hartline of Florida, Lenita Hartline of Pleasant Hill, MO and Geneva C. Garrett of Gainesville, FL.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel Funeral Home, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, with Rev. Eddie Linhart officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
