Marleen Jean Aiton's Obituary
Marleen Jean Aiton, age 76 of Gainesville, FL passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023. She was born July 27, 1946 in Bloomington, Illinois to Glenn Miles and Dorothy Jane Guy Rankin.
She married the love of her life Rodgers Aiton in 1975 and they were married for 40 years. Marleen worked at the University of Florida in the Department of Correspondence Study. She worked for 20 years with the Alachua County Sheriff’s department and Gainesville Police department as a school crossing guard.
Marleen loved children and she enjoyed woodworking. She was an AVID Gator fan.
She is survived by her sister, Nancy Christian of St. Petersburg, FL; her beloved dog, B.J. and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her twin sister, Maureen June Hargrove.
Marleen will be buried next to her husband at Evergreen Cemetery.
