Marjorie Jean London Lore's Obituary
Marjorie Jean London Lore, 83, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018, in the E. T. York Hospice Care Center, Gainesville, Florida.
Jean was born in Roanoke, Virginia to Elsie and Clay London. She graduated from Candler High School and was then accepted into the nursing program at UNC, where she met the love of her life, Dr. Charles E. Lore. She went on to become a surgical supervisor at Shands Teaching Hospital, before heading to Korea to work for the Red Cross.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Chuck. She is survived by her two sisters, Joyce Putney and Linda London Warren and daughters, Linda and Beth Lore.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:00 A. M., at the Chapel in the Meadows, 4100 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606 or to the American Cancer Society, 2119 SW 16th Street, Gainesville, FL 32608.
