Marjorie Jean (Acker) Wolf's Obituary
Marjorie Jean (Acker) Wolf of Gainesville, Florida, died March 20, 2015. She was 96 years of age.
Mrs. Wolf was born in Kansas on July 24, 1918 and had two sisters and three brothers, all are deceased. She moved to Kansas City, Kansas in 1937 where she entered the Bethany Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, which she graduated from and became a registered nurse. During her nursing career she worked in various phases of nursing, but the last 28 years were spent in school nursing. She retired in 1986.
She married Dayton J. Wolf and had a daughter Marjorie Ann Wolf-Hoy of Gainesville, who survives as well as son-in-law James Hoy and grandson Benjamin Hoy, all of Gainesville.
Her husband died in 1978 and also her son, David J. Wolf, died in 1992 in Kentucky.
Mrs. Wolf was a life member of the Methodist Church.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street, with Pastor Jack Fox officiating. Interment will be in Ft. Leavenworth National Cemetery in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas at a later date.
