Marilyn Denise Oakley, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend to many, peacefully passed away on April 28, 2025, at the age of 69. Born December 1, 1955, Marilyn lived a life defined by love, resilience, and generosity of spirit.
A devoted mother to three children and proud grandmother, Marilyn's family was the heart of her world. Her warmth and wisdom guided generations, and her unwavering support left a lasting imprint on all who knew her. Whether offering a comforting word, a homemade meal, or a gentle laugh, she had a way of making everyone feel seen and loved.
Marilyn's kindness extended far beyond her family. She was known for her gentle presence, thoughtful conversations, and the way she touched lives with grace and compassion. Her legacy is one of faith, love, and quiet strength.
She will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held Thursday, May 8th, 2025 from 5pm to 7pm at Williams Thomas Funeral Home 22205 Southeast 69th Ave, Hawthorne, FL 32640. She will be buried in her family plot in Harrell Grove Cemetery in Douglas, GA.
In the meantime, loved ones are invited to remember her in their prayers and to carry forward the light she so effortlessly shared.
