Marilyn Harris' Obituary
Marilyn Harris, age 91, joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 9th, 2025. Born in Wethersfield, Connecticut, she lived much of her life in St. Petersburg, Florida, and moved to Hawthorne, Florida in 2001. She was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Thomas M. Harris. She is survived by her children, Nina Spencer, Tom Harris, Ed Harris and Tim Harris; also her grandchildren, Elizabeth Harris, Jeremiah Harris, Becky Sue Harris, Casey Mayberry, Tommy Harris, Matthew Spencer, Joshua Spencer and Joanna Bueller and eleven great-grandchildren.
Marilyn and Tom graduated from St. Pete High School and were high school sweethearts. They loved serving together in ministry and were active members of Woodlawn Baptist Church. She was well known as a children’s Bible teacher and many lives were touched by her ministry.
She loved spending time with family and friends and watching the wildlife in her backyard.
A celebration of her life and homecoming will be held on Saturday, April 12th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 818 County Road 20A, Hawthorne, FL 32640. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Woodlawn Baptist Church.
