Margaret Mary Maxfield's Obituary
Margaret (Marge) Mary Maxfield, age 88 of Gainesville passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016. She was born in Kilkenny, Minnesota to Forest G. and Theresa Dorn Larson.
Marge was an Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Levin School of Law at the University of Florida. She loved to play bridge and was an active member of the Gainesville Golf and Country Club where she enjoyed playing golf. She enjoyed traveling and traveled the world. She was member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She was loved by many friends and will be missed.
Preceded in death by her husband, John W. Maxfield, her brother, Howard and sister, Lois. Marge later married Hector Bethart who preceded her in 2013.
She is survived by her sons, Todd Maxfield of Inglis and John D. Maxfield (Christine) of Gainesville and grandchildren, Jamie, Dustin, Josh, Dane and Taylor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 10900 SW 24th Ave., with Fr. Jeff McGowan as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
