Mandell Simon Glazer's Obituary
Mandell Simon Glazer, age 70 of Gainesville, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013. He was born January 2, 1943 in Elmira, New York to Edward and Gertrude Esterson Glazer. A United States veteran retiring from the Army; he was a graduate of the University of Florida and also retired from the State of Florida as a registered nurse. Mr. Glazer loved his family, especially his children. He spread joy to others with his keen sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda Glazer; children, Stacey (Marc) Friedman, Ben Glazer and Eliana Glazer and cousin, Vicky Perry.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street, with Rabbi David Kaiman officiating. Interment will follow in B’nai Israel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to the American Heart Association, 3324 West University Avenue #128, Gainesville, FL 32607.
