Mable Chestnut Strain's Obituary
Mable Chestnut Strain, 91, longtime resident of Hawthorne, Florida, died Friday, August 29, 2014, at her home, following a long illness.
Mrs. Strain was born on June 4, 1923 in Lakeland, Florida to the late George & Ruby Brown Chestnut. She loved sharing the love of her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, spending time with her family and friends, tending to her flowers and growing fruit. She was preceded in death by a son Wayne Thomas McDonald.
She is survived by her daughter Lora McDonald Pigott and her son-in-law, Ronnie “Buddy” Pigott; a sister, Carrie Brown; six grandchildren, Stacy Lynn McDonald, Melissa McDonald Cassels, Christy Tuten Evers, Kim Tuten, Michelle Pigott Reid, Wayne McDonald, II; fourteen great grandchildren, Dakotah, Chandi, J.T., Ashley, Dixie, Buddy, Ace, Lexi, Jordan, Gavin, Nicholas, Colby, Cody, and Hannah.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 11:00 A. M., in the Chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Hawthorne, U. S. 301 South at Lake Avenue,, with Brother Edward Moratto, officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorne Cemetery.
