Lyla Ann Parris' Obituary
Lyla Ann Parris of Alachua walked through the gates of Heaven on October 4, 2022, at age of 62. Lyla was predeceased by her father, Philip Pollander and is survived by her mother, Zandra Pollander, her husband Scott, Children, Nicole, Julia, Brian and his wife Ashley; grandchildren, Lucas and Sophia and sisters, Denise, Debbie, Twin Lynda (Tim) and Susie.
Lyla was a loving wife, wonderful mother, doting grandmother, and affectionate daughter and sister. Her heart was devoted to building relationships that would encourage others to believe in themselves and build successful lives. In particular, as a liaison for the Pediatric Specialty Clinic and Pediatric Heart and Lung Transplant Division at Shands Hospital. Lyla was able to give precious children and their parents hope, joy, and peace of mind.
A memorial service for Lyla will be held on October 14, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Alachua 14805 NW 140th St. In lieu of Flowers, please send donations to the International Myeloma Organization at www.myeloma.org All proceeds will be used to further the research for a cure for Multiple Myeloma.
