Lucille Rost Eaton's Obituary
Lucille Rost Eaton, age 103, of Royal Palm Beach, Fl. who we all call “Mamaw” passed away Thursday March 20, 2025. She was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on September 4, 1921, to Henry C. and Cora Ava Rost. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Pauline Sayre, Maralee Rost and Helen Jean Lerow and her husband Clyde Emerson Eaton who passed away January 18, 2023, and her granddaughter Cristy Curphey. She longed to be with him again and to join her sisters and mother and dad and Cristy in eternity with their Savior Jesus Christ and their Heavenly Father.
She is survived by her daughter Beverly (Devon) Curphey, her son Craig (Sandy) Eaton and her son Jeff (Teresa) Eaton, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Lucy and Clyde were married on August 26, 1944, in Fort Lauderdale where he was in the Signal Corps and their marriage lasted for 78 years. It was the big band era, and they began their lifelong love of ballroom dancing. They continued dancing into their 90s. She loved him dearly and spoke of her love for him till her final days.
Lucy was a faithful Christian Believer and prayed daily for her family and the world. Her faith guided her through life …she was faithful, friendly, giving, loving, joyful, concerned for others and never met a stranger, all characteristics of Christ her Savior.
