Lucienne "Babe" Rita Cassidy's Obituary
Lucienne "Babe" Rita Cassidy, born on February 3, 1943, in Miami, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida.
Known affectionately as "Babe," she was cherished for the warmth and joy she brought to those around her. Her passion while growing up was riding horses and dabbling in painting. Her career started at the University of Miami where she worked in the bookstore, leading to a teachers aid while her children were in school. She ended her career in the Publix bakery where she worked for over 20 years putting smiles on children's faces as she gave them a cookie. She was the rock to her family, nothing was more important to her than her husband, children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving children Kenny Cassidy (his family Cheryl and Taylor Hartsfield), her daughter Kim Zoellner, Son-in-law Jim and grandchildren, Madison, Brandon and Dawson. Preceding her in death are her parents, Jack and Lucienne Stark and brothers Jack and Charlie Stark. She has been reunited with the love of her life, husband Kenneth Cassidy.
Burial service will be held Thursday January 2nd, 1 pm at Forest Meadows Cemetery, 4100 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville, Fl 32606
Her passing is deeply felt by those whose lives she touched. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her loss.
