Louis "Lajos" Stocker's Obituary
Louis “Lajos” Stocker, 87, of Newberry, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025. He was born July 7, 1938, in Redics, Hungary to the late Lajos and Franciska Stocker.
Louis lived a rich and simple life rooted in the things he loved most: tending his garden, raising animals, cooking hearty meals from his own harvest, and filling his home with music and lively conversation. Known for his green thumb and warm heart, he found endless joy in the land and in the company of others.
Above all, Louis was a devoted family man who cherished his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with a fierce and unwavering love. His family was his greatest pride and deepest happiness.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marie “Sissy” Stocker; his parents; sister Katalin Stocker; brother Istvan Stocker; niece Susan Banner; granddaughter Noel; and great-granddaughter Darcy.
Louis is survived by his five children: Louis F. Stocker (Martha), Stephan W. Stocker, Maria E. Raulerson (Brian Corsaro), Erikka G. Galloway (Jim Taylor), and Matthew J. Stocker (Mellody); brother Josef Stocker; sister-in-law, Marlene Banner; niece Kathy Anne Banner; fourteen grandchildren: Jessica, Amber, Sammy Jo, Louis IV, Christina, Alex, Nicholas, Savanna, Renata, Romina, Roberta, Matthew L., Stephan I., and George; and six great-grandchildren: Jensen, Sawyer, Bruce, Flash, Valerie, and Maddy Jo.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Williams-Thomas Westarea Chapel, 832 NW 143rd Street, Newberry, Florida 32669. The family will receive friends one hour prior, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Newberry Cemetery. A reception will immediately follow burial at Williams-Thomas Westarea.
Louis will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a kind, hardworking man whose love for his family and the simple pleasures of life left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
