Loretta Lunsford's Obituary
Loretta Lunsford, age 66 of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Shands at the University of Florida. She was born July 23, 1952 in Texarkana, Texas to Robert and Joyce Matzdorf Lunsford. Loretta was a happy-go-lucky person. She worked as a RN in the Neonatal ICU at Shands for over 35 years. She loved her work, and especially loved her dogs. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
She is survived by her mother, Joyce Van Alst, many friends and coworkers.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 1, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Memorial Park Central Chapel in the Meadows, 4100 NW 39th Ave. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to the ASPCA, PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090.
