Loreto Regala Oquendo's Obituary
Loreto Regala Oquendo, age 51, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away on March 31, 2025. Born on May 12, 1973, in Manila, Philippines, to Leorico Baldisimo Oquendo and Lolieta Carreon Regala, Loreto earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Lanting College in the Philippines.
He had a passion for cooking, driving, watching television, networking, and cherished spending time with his beloved wife of 23 years, Gia, and their family. Loreto was dedicated to his profession in nursing and was a devoted father and provider.
Loreto is survived by his wife Gia; his children: Loreghie De Guzman Oquendo, Prince Lorgh De Guzman Oquendo, King Loegh De Guzman Oquendo; his brother, Leorico Regala Oquendo; and his sisters, Marichelle Oquendo Guiaqo and Maricor Oquendo Pimentel.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 10900 S.W. 24th Ave., Gainesville, Florida, with Fr. Alberto Esposito officiating. Friends are invited to gather one hour before the service beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org.
