Lonnie James Stevens' Obituary
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Lonnie James Stevens on May 1, 2026 – age 46 after a hard-fought battle with Leukemia.
Lonnie was a devoted husband, proud father, loving son, caring brother, and beloved Papa. He had the biggest heart and never met a stranger. He loved his family and friends deeply and would do anything for the people he cared about. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren.
Lonnie truly lived life to the fullest. Whether he was riding his airboat through the water, fishing at sunrise, hunting in the woods, or enjoying the outdoors with his faithful dogs, he found happiness in the simple moments and the people around him. His stories, laughter, strength, and adventurous spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Woodlawn Baptist Church was his church home, and Lonnie carried a strong faith in God throughout his life. His faith gave him strength, comfort, and hope, and it remained an important part of who he was.
He is survived by his loving wife, Samantha Stevcns; his mother, Betty Jean Thornton; his father, Larry Stevens; his children, Mitchell Sprauge, Emily (Dakota) Graves, Cody (Brittney) Stevens, and Katlyn (Coby) Williams; his brothers, Joe (Christine) Stevens and Christopher (Kim) Stevens; and many cherished grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing the love and memories Lonnie gave will last a lifetime.
HE WILL BE DEEPLY MISSED, FOREVER LOVED, AND NEVER FORGOITEN.
