We are so sorry for your loss. My mom, Eloise Hart, met Lois when they both worked for the school district, my mom was the principal’s secretary at St. Cloud High School. They reconnected about 5 years ago at Savannah Court. My mom’s decision to move to Savannah Court was mainly because Lois was there. She thought Lois was a gem and loved her bubbly personality. She was so sad and missed her terribly when she moved to Gainesville.

In 1969, Lois was a counselor who visited Osceola High School several times a month. She called me to her office one day when I was a senior, and she said, "One of your junior-high teachers told me that we need to help you get into college." Then she proceeded to explain many steps to move me along that path, and she helped me to apply for scholarships. Without her aid, I don’t think I would have been able to become a teacher and have such a good life. Many thanks to such a kind and patient adviser.
Mrs Henschen left a lasting impression of her kindness to me over 60 years ago. Throughout the years, I have told friends and family about her and how she made an 8 yr old feel very special. Thank you Mrs Henschen for that childhood memory. I will forever be grateful.
