Lisa June Smith's Obituary
Lisa June Smith, 60, lifelong resident of Gainesville, died Wednesday, May 16, 2018, in the E. T. York Hospice Care Center, following a long illness.
Mrs. Smith was born in Windsor, Florida on December 25, 1957. She graduated from Eastside High School and began a long career with the Alachua County School Board, retiring as the Food Services Manager at Williams Elementary School. Mrs. Smith had attended the United Pentecostal Church of Gainesville, she loved knitting and crocheting, but mostly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Mills.
Survivors include; her husband of 40 years, Frank James Smith; two daughters, Jeanine Lisa (Robert) Dean of Trenton and Sandra Marie (Cliff) Goodman of Blountstown; a brother, Keith Mills of Kilgore, TX; a sister-in-law, Barbara Mills of Johnson City, TN; grandchildren, Austin, Tabitha and Taylor Reeves of Trenton and Brianna and Bryce Goodman of Blountstown.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 18, 2018 at 11:00 A.M., in the Fairbanks Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 10:30 A.M.. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
