Linda Jane Wernecke's Obituary
Linda Jane Wernecke, 78, of Gainesville, Florida, died Tuesday, January 24, 2023, following a long illness.
Mrs. Wernecke was born on November 1, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Dominic and Jeannette Molinaro. She lived for many years in the Tampa Bay area, working as a teacher’s aide at Safety Harbor Middle School. Linda was an incredibly caring person, volunteering & organizing with many services, like the Special Olympics. She loved cruising, baking, and playing cards, and came to Gainesville to be closer to her son and his family.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Dan, and Keri Wernecke, and by her three grandsons, Dillan, Carter, and Joshua Wernecke.
The family will host a gathering of friends and family on Sunday, February 12, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, 823 NW 143rd Street, Newberry. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Breast Cancer Research Foundation at www.bcrf.org
