Linda Sue Sujdak's Obituary
SUJDAK, LINDA SUE, of Gainesville formerly of St. Augustine went home to be with the Lord May 16, 2018 at 77 years of age. Born in Flushing, Michigan the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth “Betty” Roush.
Beloved wife of the late Dr. Robert D. Parkhurst Jr. and the late George Sudjak; loving mother of Kristina Sue (Jay) Lyons, Robin Parkhurst (Phil) Waite and Jennifer Nicole Duprel; step mother of Ray (Jill) and David Sujdak; adoring grandmother of Victoria (Matt), Todd, Jerrod, Emma, Lyndan, Ryan and Jenna; great grandmother of Olivia; dearest sister of Sharon (the late Robert) Jones and Vicki (Norman) Butts. Also survived by her fur baby Abby, former son in law Guy Roig, special friends Tom and Brenda, Bill and Ann and Donnie, many nieces, nephews other special friends and extended family.
Linda was a 1959 graduate of Flint Tech High School. She went on to graduate from St. Joseph Hospital in Flint with her degree in nursing. Linda had a caring heart for people working for many years at the University of Florida, Shands Hospital in the Spina Bifida program. Later she moved to St. Augustine where she was able to use her nursing to the fullest, working with hospice helping the sick and their families. When she was able to retire she enjoyed traveling with George hitting the high seas on many of their cruising adventures and going to one of their favorite places in the world Aruba.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday May 21, 2018 in the chapel of Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central, 4100 N.W. 39th Avenue Gainesville, FL 32606 with Pastor Dave Malmberg officiating. Family will receive friends at the cemetery Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd. Gainesville, FL 32606.
