Linda K. Kazmierski's Obituary
Linda K. Kazmierski, of High Springs, FL, passed away on January 31, 2023, her 69th birthday. She was born in Toms River, NJ, on January 31, 1954, to Frederick G. and Lorraine Stein of Stafford Township, NJ. She graduated from Southern Regional High School in Manahawkin, NJ. Linda took great pride in her 35-year career as a school bus driver, during which time she married the love of her life, John Kazmierski, and raised her son, Robert “Bobby” Lawrence. She loved recounting stories of the many happy years of driving the school kids (even the bad ones) and living on a lagoon in Beach Haven West, NJ, with John and Bobby.
Some of Linda’s fondest memories included: picking blueberries and strawberries at the local farms; cooking/cleaning/picking crabs until her fingers were raw; school field trips, especially the ones into Philadelphia and New York City (where she drove and parked the school bus when she was in her early 20s); going out on the boat each summer; and every Christmas. Her favorite hobbies were gardening, caring for her beloved pets, sewing, and baking at Christmas.
Her parents and husband predeceased Linda. She is survived by her son, Robert “Bobby” (Yancy) Lawrence, and grandchildren, Nick Lawrence and Katie Lawrence. Also, by close friends. Joyce Horner, Wendy Craft, Pam Jacobs, Lisa Davidson, and Judy Giehl.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, at the pavilion in Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL. Following this service, she will be privately interred with her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to a charity of your choosing.
