Linda was fun, funny and an amazing nurse. She liked Eminem before he was ever popular, she was not afraid to stand up for what she believed in and she loved her staff and the patients she served. She was a force who was not afraid to speak her mind and her wittiness was one of my favorite things. Thinking of all of you- she made a huge difference for a lot of us!
I worked with Linda at Shands many years ago in the early 80’s. A great nurse. She was my comic relief at work when I was down. One day she was telling me about her patient’s tattoo. This was way before tattoos were popular. She wanted me to see it. I went in the room and he was sleeping. She said go ahead and lift the covers he won’t wake up. Well lo and behold this guy had fishnet hose tatted from ankle to thigh with a red rose. And rosey red blush on both butt checks and a pair of lips. Then I turned to her and told her we would get fired. I really lost sleep over it. Found out he did a gig in his younger years in vaudeville. He was proud of them and he let the doctors take pictures of all his tattoos. Which went in his record. Back then there were no HIPPA laws. Today it is different. It was a blast to work with her. Such a wonderful nurse who took time to listen to her patients and gave so much of herself to them. I lost track of you over the years. You are not forgotten.
Linda was a wonderful nurse, coworker and mentor. I enjoyed our time spent together and will always remember her generous heart in service of others. God bless Linda. Rest well my friend 🙏
Linda was a great soul and I had the privilege of friendship with her until she went to be with Julie.I will miss our conversations and I will think of you fondly always,you will be missed....Bobbi my thoughts are with you...take care....
