Linda Littlejohn Crumpton's Obituary
Linda Littlejohn Crumpton, 71, lifelong resident of Gainesville, Florida, died Sunday, August 9, 2020, in the North Florida Regional Medical Center, following a long illness.
Mrs. Crumpton was born in Gainesville, Florida on July 31, 1949 to the late Levi and Ella Mae Littlejohn. She lived in Gainesville her entire life, working for and retiring from the Alachua County School Board. Mrs. Crumpton enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing, and in her younger years, bowling. Her favorite times were enjoying time with her family. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Lisa Miller, Lillian Littlejohn and Lavon Dampier.
Survivors include her daughters, Michelle (Stuart) Smith, of Alachua and Brandy (Samuel) Smith, of Gainesville; one son Justin (Minerva) Anderson, of Hawthorne; one sister, Loretta (Paul) Dampier, of Hawthorne; five grandchildren, Cecilie, Celeena, Aubrey, Makayla, and Leland; and two great grandchildren, Jaciela and Lyla.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Downtown, 404 North Main Street, with Rev. Jim Blevins, pastor of Eden Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park East. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A. M. In response to the current COVID-19 situation, county mandates regarding masks and social distancing will be respected, and for those unwilling or unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed on the Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Facebook page, link will be provided.
