Lester Devon Miller's Obituary
Lester Devon Miller, age 93, passed away in Gainesville, FL on Saturday, December 12, 2020.
He was born in Adams Co., Indiana, on February 7, 1927.
He proudly served in the United States Army, during WWII aboard a hospital ship as a medic in the European theatre.
Lester was manager of manufacturing and engineering for Textron Corporation overseeing 10 locations and traveling extensively over the years. After retirement he enjoyed stain glass work, volunteering at North Florida Regional, and in the last few years, he and Olga were able to travel.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Olga Miller; daughter Connie Schlafer husband Gary and grandchildren of Anderson, Indiana; sisters, Helen Mauck and husband Jerry of Ft. Myers, FL, Wanda Secor and husband Ed of Kokomo, Indiana., several nieces and nephews
Burial will take place at Florida National Cemetery with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to a charity of your choice.
