My condolences to the Spillane family. Len was a man of compassion and a force for equality. He was founding member of the Alachua County Health Coalition. I recall his outrage that we in this country and this community did not provide access to health care apart from emergency room care. I hope he was able to share in the joy of the passage of the Affordable Care Act, but spared the shame of our legislators repeated attempts to repeal it. May he rest in peace. It was an honor to know and work with him.
