Leila Blanton's Obituary
Leila Davis Blanton, 91, of Alachua, died Saturday, September 25, 2021, in the E. T. York Hospice Care Center, Gainesville, following a long illness.
Mrs. Blanton was born in Santa Fe, Florida on April 2, 1930 to the late Carlisle and Florie Davis. She was a longtime bookkeeper for the Eli Witt Company. Mrs. Blanton lived in Gainesville for most of her life prior to moving to Alachua three years ago.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Bethel Blanton; and a daughter, Sharon Davis. She had many friends and relatives over the years; she will be missed by all.
Survivors include, one daughter, Pam Lippencott, of Ormond Beach, FL and one son, Carlos Roland Blanton, of Alachua, FL; one sister, Irma Davis, of Santa Fe, FL; along with five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 11:00 A. M., in the St. John’s United Methodist Church Cemetery.
