Lee William Roberts' Obituary
Lee William Roberts, 85, resident of Newberry, Florida, died Tuesday, October 30, 2018 in the Williston Care Center, following a long illness.
Mr. Roberts was a native of Greenwood, South Carolina, born on July 8, 1933 to the late Thomas and Martha Roberts. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Roberts worked as a carpenter, a master woodworker, who could make anything out of wood, and was a member of the Bell Wood Turners Club, but his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Juanita Reed Roberts; a daughter, Aimee Roberts-Serrato(Steven), of Jacksonville; a step-daughter, Debbie Hale, of Newberry; two grandchildren, Matthew Scott and Whitney Davis; three great-grandchildren, Kayla, Elijah and Rachel Scott.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 2:00 P. M., in the Newberry United Methodist Church, with Pastor Karen Burris, officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to either Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606 or to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, New York, NY 10001.
