Laurie Ann Rocha's Obituary
Laurie Ann Rocha, age 64, of Hawthorne, Florida, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025. She was born on July 4, 1960, in Covington, Louisiana, to Benjamin and Ruth Main Tator.
Laurie proudly served her country as a 2nd Lieutenant and Registered Nurse in the United States Army during Desert Storm and Desert Shield in Southwest Asia. Her service reflected her deep patriotism and dedication to others. During her military service, she met the love of her life, whom she later married.
A devout Catholic, Laurie was a faithful member of Holy Faith Catholic Church. She found joy in simple pleasures—watching movies, reading, and all things Disney. She was also known for being a wonderful cook and took pride in preparing meals for family.
Laurie will be remembered for her warm spirit, her service to others, and her unwavering faith.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Jacinto Rocha; children, Benjamin Rocha (Liza), Daniel Rocha, Andrew Rocha and Mary Catherine Rocha; sister, Stephanie Conklin; brothers, Christopher Tator and Matthew Tator; grandchildren, Lucia, James and Isabella.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Faith Catholic Church with Fr. Jose Kulathinal as celebrant. Burial with military honors will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
