I knew Laurie casually as a church member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and later grew to know her well as a Eucharistic Visitor who took her Holy Communion, first in her home, and later in the facility in which she lived. She was a gracious and beautiful person who gave love and kindness wherever she was. Her friendship enriched my life and her memory make my heart glad.
Lee and I knew Laurie from Holy Trinity. She was a faithful member of the Holy Folders. (The group that once a month put the newsletter together). She was always so happy and willing to help and often expressed her desire to be able to do more for young children like working with Guardian ad Litem. We had wonderful conversations. Laurie was only nine years younger than my Mama, and she always reminded me of her - a true Southern Lady, full of gentle mischief as we worked on various projects together at Holy Trinity, kind and generous with her time and her unique understanding of the Lord's love for us all.Praying for comfort for the whole family.
