Larry Allen Fosser, Sr.'s Obituary
Larry Allen Fosser, Sr. of Gainesville, Florida went to his Heavenly home on December 26, 2024, at the age of 73. He passed at his home surrounded by his family.
Larry was born in Rugby, ND on March 8, 1951. He moved to Florida with his family in 1962 at the age of 11 and was the eldest of six children.
He was employed by the University of Florida for 32 1/2 years. He was a painter by trade and owned a business with his brother, James. He proudly served in the US Army for 22 years, active and reservist.
He graduated from Gainesville High School in 1970. He was an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, Council 6108.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ann Fosser, daughter and son-in-law Michele and Steve Hylek, daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Mike Wyatt, grandsons Tyler Wyatt and Steven Hylek, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his son Larry Allen Fosser, Jr., parents Robert and Margaret Fosser, brothers James and William, sister Bernadine and her husband Wayne and countless other family and friends.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 10:00 A. M., at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 500 NE 16th Avenue, Gainesville, with Fr. Lawrence Peck, celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow in Memorial Park East. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 4 – 5:30 P. M., with a rosary service to begin at 5:30 at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Downtown, 404 North Main Street, Gainesville.
Donations in lieu of flowers are requested to be made to The American Cancer Society, The American Heart Association, Haven Hospice or St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
