Kevin Thomas Riordan's Obituary
Kevin Thomas Riordan of Gainesville, Florida passed away Saturday May 28, 2016 at the E. T. York Haven Hospice Care Center after a yearlong battle with cancer.
Kevin was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana January 27, 1954. He was raised in St. Petersburg, Florida and moved to Gainesville in 1975 where he and his wife would raise their four children.
He was preceded in death by his parents Michael James and Rosemary Riordan, and his sister Mary Sue Nazarro. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Laurie Schramek Riordan, son Josh Riordan (Christine), daughter Rose Pickens (Brian), son Jake Riordan (Nicole), daughter Sarah Riordan, brothers Michael IV (Joan), Tim (Diana), Mark (Denise), Gregory (Kay), sister Kathy Fuller (Ali) and 10 grandchildren, Wesley, Alex and Sophie Riordan, Andrew, Kate and Josie Pickens, Taylor, Harrison, Grant and CoCo Riordan.
A memorial mass will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 10900 SW 24th Ave. on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Kazimierz Ligeza as celebrant, a reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kevin's name to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606 or The Rotary Club of Gainesville Water Wells Project.
