Kenneth William "Bill" Withey's Obituary
Kenneth William “Bill” Withey, 83, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at his home.
He was born August 28, 1933 in Findley, Ohio. He was a longtime resident of Gainesville and Hawthorne Florida. He was a retired telephone man from AT&T and Alachua County schools.
He was a master gardener, wood carver, avid birdwatcher and nature lover.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jane, as well as children, Susan and Pat Morrow, Elizabeth Withey, and Mary and Jim Guest, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A private service was held. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to Children’s Miracle Network, UF Health Office of Development, P.O. Box 100386, Gainesville, FL 32610. Please indicate on your gift that it is directed to UF Health Shands Hospital in memory of Bill.
