Kenneth E. Mercer's Obituary
Kenneth E. Mercer, age 82 of Gainesville, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015. He was born February 7, 1932 in Moultrie, Georgia to Arthur David and Tessie Lee Plymel Mercer.
He was owner of Ken Mercer used cars in Fairbanks for years. He was U.S Army Veteran, he loved Nascar, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his children, Dan Mercer (Marilynn), Dwayne Mercer (Darla), Doug Mercer (Robin) Diane Lewis-Douglas (Joe); sisters, Carol Weldon, Wannaruth Walker, twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Monday, January 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Fairbanks Cemetery with Rev. Mike Redmond officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven Hospice of North Central Florida, 4200 NW 90th Boulevard, Gainesville, FL 32606.
