Love & Kindest Regards Always,

I first met Keith Panton in 1980 when we were attending an Alcan management programme in Canada. It soon became obvious to all his co-participants in the programme that Keith was a man with considerable skills at resolving disputes and building consensus. As our careers developed and our paths crossed from time to time it always was a pleasure to be able to spend time with him. He bacame CEO of Aljam at a time when the morale of employees at that company was very low. He succeeded in restoring calm and order and a boost in the morale of employees within a short time following his appointment. My sincere condolence to members of his family.

Please accept our sincere condolences for the passing of Keith
Both Keith and Barbara were very welcoming when we returned to Jamaica in 1993 and I very much appreciated his wisdom as I settled in to my new assignment.
He had a very rewarding and successful career , followed by a very active and productive "retirement".
So many people are better for having known him
Rest in peace Dr. P.

I will never forget how you were a Blessing to me and my family. Thanks for your many prayers. Thanks you and Mrs. Barbara for sowing into our lives. God Bless. Carol and Rodney Mosley.

As a beneficiary of the caring and outstanding CEO of Alcan Jamaica (The best I dare say) I would like to thank Dr. P for guiding me through my career, having organized for me several senior management courses (at which I was the only manager of colour) along with my transfers to Ireland and Canada, I am indeed indebted to this great Jamaican.
Dr. Panton was the person who introduced vision and value to Alcan Jamaica. Who can forget the acronym ROCE and I), the hallmark of successful business.
R= Respect for the individual
O = Openness in communication
C= Consistency in Action
E = Excellence in executiion
and
I= Integrity.
Dr. Panton exemplified those values par excellence and practised them. A few examples:
*He introduced shop talks where all employees would be advised of the performance of the company
*He availed educational assistance benefit to all employees, which hitherto was available to staff at a certain level
* He took time out to respond to the least significant employee, claiming that if an employee could find time to write to him, he was obliged to find the time to respond to him
* He saw to the total welfare of all employees, including overseas medical
Time and space would fail me to list all of his attributes.
Above all, he was a godly man. Who can forget the blessing of the new plane at the tarmac before it went into service?
I dedicate to his memory, the poem by J. G. Holland, titled " God Give Us Men"
God give us men!
A time like this demands
Strong minds, great hearts, true faith and ready hands,
Men whom the lust of office does not kill,
Men whom the spoils of office cannot buy
Men who posses opinions and a will;
Men who have honour, men who will not lie;
Men who can stand before a demagogue
And damn his treacherous flatteries without winking!
Tall men, sun-crowned , who live above the fog in public duty, and in private thinking:
For while the rabble, with their thumb-worn creeds, their large professions and their little deeds, Mingle in selfish strife, lo! Freedom weeps,
Wrong rules the land and waiting Justice sleeps.
May the God of comfort succour the family during this period of their irreplaceable loss.
Walk good Doctor P.

I had the privilege of working with Alcan during Dr. Panton's incumbency. His leadership was simply legendary. Humility was his defining characteristic and his generosity of spirit remain unequalled in my experience. "Father" was an extra-ordinary human being. I will be eternally indebted to him for his role in shaping my personal development. Only last week I had reason to make reference to him in a discussion on organizational leadership. I am deeply saddened by his passing.Thanks to Miss Babs and the family for lending him to us. Rest well Doc P. I will forever cherish your memory .

Dr. P. you are one of the finest human beings I've ever met and one of the greatest leaders I've worked with. You've left a legacy of love, respect, admiration, aspiration and inspiration in those of us whose lives you have touched. You are one of God's leading angels.
Thank you for the difference you've made in my life. I promise to pay it forward and make a difference in the lives of others.
Rest in peace and may light perpetual shine on you.
