Kathryn Mauldin's Obituary
Kathryn Mauldin entered her eternal home on Sunday, July 11, 2021. Born September 10, 1946, to Donnie and Nathan Pete Mauldin, she is survived by her brother, Les Mauldin (Carol), sister, Evelyn Morris (Larry), seven beloved nieces and nephews, ten great-nieces and nephews and five great-great nieces and nephews.
Kathryn received her B.A. from FSU and taught school for one year and then began her lifetime of service to God and her fellow man. After receiving her Master of Christian Education degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, she served a number of years at the Texas Richmond State School, working as a volunteer coordinator with the Chaplin. She served as Minister of Christian Education and Youth at Parkview Baptist Church in Gainesville until she moved to Williston to be the sole caregiver for her mother and father.
She was a life-long lover of music of all genres, especially the traditional hymns of the church. Playing the piano, singing, and sharing her knowledge of music brought her great joy.
Kathryn’s sense of humor brought smiles to the faces of everyone she met. She especially loved telling and hearing a really good joke.
Her multitude of family and friends, both new and old, will miss her kind and giving heart, her brilliant mind, and her constant, quiet testimony of the love of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 12:00 noon at the First Baptist Church of Archer 16870 S.W. 137th Ave. Archer, Florida. with Pastor Michael Fox, and Linda Ballard. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church beginning at 11:00 A.M.
Interment will follow at Orange Hill Cemetery 3240 N.E. 180 Ave. Williston, Florida.
