Kathryn "Kasha" Godek Abbott's Obituary
Kathryn “Kasha” G. Abbott, of Gainesville, FL passed away Monday, August 15, 2022. She was born May 1, 1947, in Newport, RI to Mieczyslaw and Ellen Veille Dormin Godek. She worked as a United States Civil Servant for the US government. Kathryn was married to Byron A. Abbott who passed away in 2016. She will be laid to rest beside him at Arlington National Cemetery. She is survived by four siblings, Barbara Hall, and Steven, Matthew, and Gregory Godek as well as extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church 10900 SW 24th Ave, Gainesville, FL, with Fr. Al Esposito as celebrant.
