Katherine Beers Williams' Obituary
Katherine Beers Williams, age 87 of Gainesville, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center. Katherine was born January 11, 1928 in Melbourne, Florida to John Leonard and Rebecca Jane St. Clair Beers. She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and Eastern Star, Lodge 44. In her free time she enjoyed quilting, playing the piano and cooking.
Katherine was preceded in death by her husband Haynsworth Williams in 2001, one brother and one sister. She is survived by her children, Jane Williams Burnette of Gainesville, FL and Frank Williams of Bethlehem, PA; three brothers, Charles Beers of TX, Bill Beers of Orlando, FL and George Beers of TN; grandchildren, Ann Marie McGraw, Nicole Williams and Eric Williams and great grandchildren, Savannah and Colton McGraw.
Graveside Services will be held Monday, November 9, 2015 at 10:30 a.m., in Bell Cemetery, 3429 Cemetery Road, with Rev. Dr. George Holston officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 8, 2015, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street.
