Katherine T. Lowe's Obituary
Katherine T. Lowe, 94, of Gainesville, Florida(formerly of Ridgewood, NJ and Orlando, FL.) died May 13, 2020. Kay, as she was known by family and friends, was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 60 years, John, in 2010.
She is survived by her beloved son, John Jr. and his wife, Jean; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was born and raised in New York City. Kay, as a young woman, worked as an elevator operator at Radio City Musical Hall and was a key punch operator for US Rubber, both in NYC. During her time in Ridgewood, she provided secretarial support to the Rectory at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church as well as administrative support for the school office at Bergen Catholic High School. She was a long time member of Holy Faith Church in Gainesville.
Kay and her husband, John, were founding members of Oak Hammock at the University of Florida in Gainesville in 2004. She resided at Oak Hammock until her peaceful passing.
Inurnment will take place at the Queen of Peace Columbarium in Gainesville.The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in the memory of Katherine T.
